Dr. Fereidoon Shahidi is a University Research Professor with the Department of Biochemistry in the Faculty of Science who specializes in food science, nutrition and agriculture. In February he was named the Dean of Science Distinguished Scholar Medal recipient; this month, he received the Award of Merit from the American Oil Chemists.
